In the 4^th edition of Beaming with Pride 🏳️‍🌈 (2024), we highlight the song, “Rainbow Fam” performed by RealXman.

Prepare to beam with P-R-I-D-E 🏳️‍🌈! Beaming with Pride 🏳️‍🌈 celebrates, embraces, and spotlights songs by LGBTQ musicians or allies.  In this column, we provide background and insight into the respective musician(s), as well as analyze + go gaga over the decadent bops being served up.  Furthermore, when the music dictates deeper, more transcendent discussion, we ensure the point is articulated to the fullest.  All styles of music are welcome while the songs can be classics or brand-spanking new. So, without further ado, in the 4^th edition of Beaming with Pride 🏳️‍🌈 (2024), we highlight “Rainbow Fam” performed by RealXman.

“It’s time to celebrate / I’m in love with who I am.” Right on, RealXman, right on! RealXman is all about inclusivity as opposed to exclusivity on the exuberant electronic single, “Rainbow Fam”!  “Who fam in the bad bitch zone / Celebratin’ Pride month all year long.” This dance banger right here is the exemplification of queer joy 🏳️‍🌈.  Homophobes be damned, the rainbows 🌈 run abundant, wild, and free! Sure, “Rainbow Fam” the song clocks in just under two minutes in duration, but don’t let its brevity dare dilute the message! The Rainbow family is alive and well in all its diverse glory!

The rhymes that RealXman serves up during “Rainbow Fam” is arguably the biggest selling point.  Yes, the sound is dynamic – as colorful as a rainbow itself – but those bars slaughter.  “Make that thang roll for the theys and the thems / Pop that Peter for the pan,” he spits, continuing, “Wave your hands for the gays and the trans / If you see ‘em in drag, throw some bands.” Hell yeah! There’s more of course. “But it wide for the bi if you stan / Shake a lil something for the lesbians.” Woo! RealXman covers various identities within the LGBTQ+ community – gay, lesbian, bisexual, nonbinary/genderqueer, trans, etc. – ensuring that everybody is S-E-E-N.  “Rainbow Fam” may be short, but this a song that should have everybody beaming with pride!
