R3HAB x Skytech, What Do You Do © CYB3RPVNKTwo proves to be better than one on instrumental EDM dance gem “What You Do,” a collaboration between DJs/producers R3HAB and Skytech.

R3HAB (Fadil El Ghoul) is a Dutch DJ, producer, and remixer, who released his debut album, Trouble, in 2017.  Notably, Trouble peaked at no. 9 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums in 2017, while single “I Just Can’t” (with Quintino) peaked at no. 22 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.  As for Skytech (Mateusz Dziewulski), he’s a trance DJ/producer from Poland.  The two join forces for the brief “What You Do,” which clocks in just north of the two-and-a-half-minute mark.

“What You Do” may be short, but the results are definitely sweet. If one were to look up ‘electronic ear candy’ in the dictionary (if such a thing existed), “What You Do” would be the audio example.  Okay, the preceding provides a rough sketch at best, but you get the idea.  “What You Do” checks off the boxes associated with an instrumental electronic dance music cut. It features assertive, pulsating synths, pummeling drum programming, and ample attitude and personality.  There’s no need for vocals (other than “What You Do to Me”) when the music cooks the way that it does here, including some variation throughout.

Final Thoughts

Is “What You Do” the second coming? No, of course not.  But “What You Do” is a pleasant listening experience that should enhance any electronic music lover’s library…playlist…hard-drive… however you consume music.  Little can be said of R3HAB or Skytech’s individual contributions, but as a united duo, they do some work.
