German alt-rockers, Prior The End, rock up to the top table with their new album, ‘Cutting My Roots’. The new nail-biting delivery from the band who, formed in 2013, includes the stand-out singles, ‘Ask Them About Cancer’ and ‘Trespassing In Sanity’.

The group holds nothing back to quench the thirst for those who relish their music loud and direct, and they do just that with this 12-track foot-stomper! It all gets under with ‘Rage & Static‘, and it opens with a chilling overture with the sound of wind and distant charms ahead of a booming drum beat. We also soon hear an almighty guitar riff; instantly, we are thrown back into our seats with vocalist Alexander bursts forth with an energy which we cannot overlook!

Mouth-watering riffs and bass tones lead us to the emotional and prevalent fourth track, ‘Lifeline‘. In the first segment, the piano leads the way forward, bringing a new vibe to the forefront. However, the five-piece soon returns to regular business with their hard-rock aesthetic jaunting out of the speakers. Also, the refrain creates an earworm experience like no other.

Mark It Zero‘, which arrives ten tracks in kicks off with a Biffy Clyro-Esque overture. Also, the band fuse their distinct qualities with a sound that many will also compare to other greats in the scene today. Here the structure changes often, and there is no time for predictability with the track evolving as it progresses.

The album concludes with Cutting My Roots, and it wraps everything up flawlessly!
