Pop Smoke Returns to No. 1: Scanning the Charts [πŸ“· : Brent Faulkner, The Musical Hype, Pexels, Pixabay, Republic]Scanning the Charts – Billboard 200 & Billboard Hot 100 (10/24/20): Pop Smokes returns to no. 1 with Aim for the Stars Shoot for the Moon.Β

SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.Β  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye.Β  To reiterate what I said last week (21 Savage & Metro Boomin Debut at No. 1), this column won’t be extensive, but rather short and sweet, keeping that πŸ’© moving.Β  This week, I picked out FIVE notable observations from the Billboard 200, and FOUR observations from the Billboard Hot 100, with πŸŽ™ Pop Smoke returning to no. 1 with his posthumous debut album, πŸ’Ώ Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon.Β

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ 21 Savage and πŸŽ™ Metro Boomin sees πŸ’Ώ Savage Mode II slips from no. 1 to no. 2 in its second week on the charts.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Fleetwood Mac sees πŸ’Ώ Rumours return to the top 10 of the Billboard 200 for the first time in 42 years.

πŸ’ There were no top-10 debuts this week.Β  However, there was one top-15 debut as πŸŽ™ Trey Songz debuts at no. 15 with πŸ’Ώ Back Home. Β That’s an underwhelming start to say the least.

πŸ’ Worth noting, πŸŽ™ Black Pumas earn a spot on the Billboard 200 for the very first times.Β  Their self-titled debut, πŸ’Ώ Black Pumas, launches at no. 200 (it came out in 2019).

Billboard Hot 100

24kgoldn, "Mood" [πŸ“· : Records Label / Columbia]πŸ’ πŸŽ™ 24kGoldn and πŸŽ™ Iann Dior ascend to the top spot of the Hot 100 with 🎡 β€œMood.” Honestly, it was only a matter of time before the popular single reached the penthouse. Β β€œMood” knocks off πŸŽ™ Jawsh 685 and πŸŽ™ Jason Derulo’s 🎡 β€œSavage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)”, which falls to no. 6.
