Polo G, "RAPSTAR" [📷: Columbia]Rapper Polo G keeps the momentum going strong in 2021 on his intriguing new melodic rap single, “RAPSTAR.”

Rap has been a dominant genre for years.  In 2020, there were numerous rappers who had a ton of success.  One such rapper who absolutely ‘killed it’ was 🎙 Polo G.  💿 THE GOAT was one of the bigger albums of the years, further elevating Polo’s profile.  Does he have any plans to slow down in 2021? Doesn’t seem like it, judging by his terrific new single, 🎵 “RAPSTAR”.

“RAPSTAR” shines from the get-go.  Well produced, 🎛 Einer Bankz and 🎛 Synco definitely set up Polo G for success.  The backdrop balances the best of both worlds – it goes hard yet also brings a more chill, mellow vibe too.  As for Polo, he blesses us with both a sweet, rhythmic flow as well as a melodic rap performance.  What I love about his performance is how we naturally get this contrast of the street/toughness with sheer beauty – harmoniousness.  With Polo remaining ‘on’ throughout the course of “RAPSTAR,” his best moment is undoubtedly the chorus, which screams H-I-T.

Final Thoughts 💭

Judging by “RAPSTAR,” it seems like the Polo G machine will be just like the Energizer Bunny – “It keeps going, and going, and going.”  This is another strong showing for the rapper, who definitely brings great personality, rhymes, and a sweet melodic approach to the table.  Need a new addition to the listening rotation that runs just under three minutes? Well, “RAPSTAR” is a perfect choice.
