“Somewhere through the sun, further past the rain, lead us to a more colorful place.” Those are authentic, beautiful, and sincere lyrics, Peter Jöback.  The lyrics appear near the end of the Swedish singer, songwriter, and actor’s 2025 single, “The Spectrum of Love”.  Jöback penned “The Spectrum of Love” with English singer-songwriters Ed Harcourt and Kathryn WilliamsGrammy-nominated Swedish composer and producer Svidden produced it.

The musical accompaniment is stunning, marvelously capturing this spectrum of love that Peter Jöback sings about.  Initially, “The Spectrum of Love” sounds like it’s going to settle into pop balladry.  It’s lush, warm, and fuzzy.  Soon enough, dance and electronic music cues enter the mix, amplifying the energy and intensity.  The song grows more exuberant and more upbeat, leaning into the power of love and celebrating Pride to the fullest.  It was written for STHLM (Stockholm) Pride 2025 after all! Beyond the care taken in constructing the instrumental, Jöback sings radiantly.  His tone is warm and welcoming – it screams inclusion! The songwriting is striking throughout the verses and the chorus. “If you’re looking for answers, don’t fall apart,” Jöback sings in the first verse, and continues, Pride Progress Fan“What would our story be like if we played the same part?” The second verse yields more thought-provoking lyricism. “You’re not on your own out in the unknown,” he sings, and adds, “We will love and protect you.” Oh, I feel the love – the Pride heart is bursting! The chorus, the creme de la crème, the crowning achievement, is superb:

“I see your heart as a prism of glass with a white light shining through

All the colors of the rainbow fall out and into view…

Oh-oh-oh, the spectrum of love is shining over you.”

Love is love, and what better way to celebrate that year-round than with “The Spectrum of Love” by Peter Jöback?! His voice is refined and sophisticated, while the lyrics speak volumes.
