LGBTQ singer/songwriter Pat Reilly slays on his outer space-driven pop single, “Mars,” which encompasses ‘out of this world’ pleasure.

hen I first encountered 🎙 Pat Reilly in 2020, I characterized him as “fierce and unapologetic, two qualities that make a truly accomplished artist.” I went on the call the LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈 pop artist a “queer voice that everybody should give their full, undivided attention to.” Both statements remain true as Reilly delivers his ‘out of this world’ single, 🎵 “Mars.”“Mars” commences with dreamy, lush, and romantic production. The intro sets the tone for the song – prefaces what’s to come. Later, as the instrumental and song progress, some slick, ‘hip-hop’ drums anchor things down – ear candy to the nth degree. But enough about the fine work behind the boards – what about Pat? Naturally, Reilly plays off this gorgeous, picturesque backdrop. He sings beautifully and expressively, tackling those ‘matters of the heart.’ Sure, the record is called “Mars,” and he references outer space, but he isn’t really focused on the Red Planet, No, he’s focused on pleasure – good loving that he proclaims “feels like Mars.” Ooh wee, that’s some truly satisfying S-E-X…
Final Thoughts 💭
Satisfying. Sexy. Stimulating. Those are just a few ways to describe the musical excellence of “Mars.” As he did on 💿 Prince of the Night (EP), Pat Reilly shines. He’s got the full package – the voice, relatable songwriting, decadent production, artistry itself, and add in good looks for good measure. Sure, “Mars” is a fab addition to the growing LGBTQ+ catalog, but anybody who takes a listen to this bop won’t be able to stop listening. “Mars” earns my seal of approval!
