Parsa Sleighter, Bedroom Superstar | Song Review 🎵

Self-described alternative princess Parsa Sleighter mesmerizes with his ambient and enigmatic dream-pop ballad, “Bedroom Superstar.”

If you haven’t peeped Parsa Sleighter via social media, you are missing a treat.  The eyes don’t lie… he is a beautiful specimen.  And yes, he often refrains from wearing a shirt.  No complaint here.  Beyond being a beautiful man, Sleighter possesses a beautiful instrument.  The last time I covered the self-described alternative princess was in 2024: “A Playboy’s Blues”. Once again, Sleighter provides sweet music to my ears with the four-minute ballad, “Bedroom Superstar”. Ooh-la-la, Parsa! He wrote and produced this impressive track.

“Bedroom Superstar” is a vibe from the beginning.  Parsa Sleighter is unafraid to lean into experimental, alternative, and psychedelic cues and sounds.  The musical backdrop is celestial, with the detuned keyboard, organ, and synths. The drum groove is solid but non troppo, anchoring the ballad moving along. In no rush, Parsa sumptuously captures an ambient, dream-like aesthetic.  When the song is titled “Bedroom Superstar,” that is the expectation, right? Bedroom pop. With its sleepy, somnambulant aesthetic, the track makes me want to float… and of course, sleep and cuddle with someone fine.  Vocally, Sleighter delivers enigmatic, indulgent, and warm vocals.  His tone is gorgeous as he brings the melodies and lyrics to life. Is he a male Lana Del Rey? He sort of sounds like it here, riding the lush backdrop with ease.  I could continue to expound upon my analysis, but Parsa Sleighter and “Bedroom Superstar” are best enjoyed by experiencing them – seeing, listening, and straight-up vibing.
