Paraffin, Mean | Track Review 🎵

he rock and roll newcomers known as Paraffin make their name known outside of their hometown of Portsmouth. They bring with them the unadulterated oomph that they have been cultivating in the record studio. Their most recent album, single ‘Mean‘, delivers the guitar-driven meat that the scene has been hankering for in quite some time!

‘Mean‘, which is a track that really packs a punch, starts out with a crunch! The guitars tear through the mix and anchor themselves in place along with the toe-tapping percussion beats and the nail-biting bass leads. The band as a whole is cohesive. Moreover, every member of the band is in perfect rhythm with the other band members. It is an essential component of a strong band that has a promising future ahead of them.

The band’s frontman, Billy Tee, is the one responsible for providing the vocals. Also, he does not waste any time bringing his story to life in rapid succession. He talks about the times when you realise that someone you previously liked has suddenly become a bit of a jerk. Many of us will relate to what he is saying. He is candid with his lyrics. Also, he takes things to a whole other level in the chorus by singing a melody that encircles our brain.

When all of the group lets loose toward the end of the track, breaking new ground with a massive conclusion of true rock, the power of the music is unleashed, as is the case with many rock tracks similar to this one!
