Omar Rudberg, Happier | Track Review 🎵

Handsome and talented Venezuelan-Swedish singer/actor Omar Rudberg delivers an enjoyable, relatable pop single in “Happier.”

“Your love’s a losing game / I don’t wanna keep playing / I could be happier, happier.” Facts, 🎙 Omar Rudberg, FACTS! Rudberg is a talented individual, not to mention easy on the eyes 😍. Simon from 📺 Young Royals focuses on his main gig, the gift of singing on his latest single, 🎵 “Happier.”  The Venezuela-Swedish singer 🎼 ✍ David Sneddon, Alex Shield, Charlotte Kjaer, and Theo Hutchcraft penned the single, while Kjaer and Shield produce. The backdrop Kjaer and Shield put together is pleasant and characterized by its groove – fitting for a mid-tempo, love-oriented pop joint.

The theme is simple: a bad brand of love! Omar knows he needs to get out of this situation.  “This is our autumn rain,” he sings in the first verse, continuing, “Lately, it’s got me so cold.” Frustrated, in the second, he adds, “No negotiations, yeah / I can’t stop to think about you.” With decay imminent, in the chorus, the crème de la crème, excerpted at the top of this review, Rudberg sees happiness elsewhere.  Beyond theme and lyrics, Omar sings well, serving up a chill, light vocal performance.  The melodic lines are agile and rhythmic – as easy on the ears as Rudberg’s lovely voice, and again, his looks 😍.  All in all, 🎵 “Happier” is an enjoyable, well-rounded single from the gifted Omar Rudberg. It’s not a lifechanging affair but a welcome addition to the playlist, particularly for the summer!
