“B

itch, this Tamagotchi…” Um, excuse me, 🎙 Omar Apollo???  Are you really referencing a toy in this advance single from 💿 Ivory? The answer is yes.  That said, Apollo has ample swagger on 🎵 “Tamagotchi”.  Furthermore, if possible, the Mexican American singer only amplifies his sexiness on this 🎛 The Neptunes – 🎛 Pharrell Williams and 🎛 Chad Hugo – produced joint.

With The Neptunes behind him, you know Omar Apollo has a bad@$$ backdrop – NO CAP!  The fresh factor and groove go next level – also, NO CAP!  Adding to that freshness is this young, fearless Omar, who sings in both Spanish and English without missing a beat. “Quiere ese Louis Vuitton / Uh, no me dej en paz con ese cabrón, con ese cabrón,” he sings at the beginning on the first verse, compellingly. Woo! Sure, he references that child’s toy, but he also brags about drip (“Bitch, I’m making bread”), his artistry (“Sound like Pavarotti”), and sex (“Your body is on me, you touching up on me / We cum at the same time”).  Basically, for Omar, life is G-O-O-D.  The only rub – he hasn’t seen his babe “in months or more” and, he “ain’t tryna front no more.” Understandable.

Final Thoughts 💭

awesomeOnce again, Omar Apollo delivers surefire magic – music excellence – on 🎵 “Tamagotchi.”  Forget the fact he’s referencing a child’s toy as there’s nothing childish about this joint. Once again, Apollo exhibits why he’s such a promising artist that more folks need to be talking about.  Again, with that expensive The Neptunes production behind him, Omar puts in some serious work.  There’s NO WAY Ivory isn’t epic!
