No Serial Killer [Photo Credit: No Serial Killer]No Serial Killer Oozes Confidence On “We’re All Going 2 Die”

Contributed by George James

It is not very often that I came across a track quite like “We’re All Going 2 Die” by No Serial Killer. The brains behind the record is A.K.M, and he has added a unique slant on an already immense sound.

There are many surprises with this release. It follows a fairly typical rock and roll structure with a bold intro and catchy melodies, but yet it also brings humour in places which is unusual yet exciting. For me, I could not help but get drawn into its psychedelic style. The instrumental sounds fresher than a bag of grapes, and the vocal performance is awe-inspiring.

But does it match the modern industry? Well, it probably would have fit in better decades earlier, but yet there is room for just about anything these days, and it brings a nostalgic sense which is hard to fault. The chorus is the breadwinner in this release. It hits home, and its catchy rhythm is enough to make me come back time and again. Musically, it is cohesive and although none of the musicians performing where in the same city, you would never have guessed. As a result, it is a testament to the production, and its plan has paid off tenfold.

Overall, it is a track which is sure to cement its name in the history books. It is very niche, and it is hard to pinpoint an authentic influence, but yet many genres are peaking out. There are poppy elements in places and a bluesy guitar lead which comes full of warmth. I do think though that a bit more treble on the guitar would have done wonders. Nevertheless, I cannot fault this track; it stands its purpose and is original. You can listen to “We’re All Going 2 Die” below. Also, be sure to keep an eye on the artist on Bandcamp.
