No Jumper Records releases its first single in partnership with Atlantic Records, “Hard.”  “Hard” features Tay-K and Blocboy JB.

Who is No Jumper?  It’s’ not a person, but rather a podcast/YouTube channel and record label.  The face of No Jumper is Adam Grandmaison. “Hard” marks the first single from No Jumper Records in partnership with Atlantic Records.  Featured artists are Tay-K and Blocboy JB. 

“Hard” is composed of malicious, hardcore production – it bangs! This is the crowning achievement of this brief record, hands down. While it’s set in a minor key, there is still some lovely music. Think about it – the hellish can indeed sound heavenly… Anyways, the combination of keyboards and synths – particularly the synth brass – is simply marvelous. Combine the epic production work with biting rhymes, and “Hard” is chocked-full of awesomeness.  The hook is noteworthy:

“You-you-you was on some opp shit
I was cruisin’ down a n***a block with the chopstick
Rockstar nigga, now I need a rock b*tch
We want beef, not veggies, not squash, b*tch
That-that-that boy like to talk (gang), we popped out with mops
You gon’ shoot a little, we gon’ shoot a lot

She thought it was my cock but my Glock very hard.”

Final Thoughts

Vibe goes a long way in this day and age.  Without question, Tay-K & Blocboy JB have quite the vibe going on “Hard.” Tight, tough rhymes and ferocious production makes this brief joint a winner.
