German musician/producer Nick Talos assembles an enjoyable, fun dance single with “Hey Gorgeous,” featuring the smooth vocals of singer Mitchl.

“Hey gorgeous / You know damn well that you’re beautiful / Is that why you act so cold?” Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First things first, who is Nick Talos? Talos is a dance/pop/electronic musician and producer from Berlin, Germany.  On his latest single, “Hey Gorgeous,” he teams up with singer, Mitchl. Regarding Mitchl, there’s simply very little information about him as of publication, sigh.  That said, we’ll let the music do the talking.

Beginning with the production, Nick Talos, paired with Máté Spellenberg, assemble a solid backdrop – a canvas if you will – for Mitchl to paint upon vocally.  The sound isn’t the least bit ground breaking or revolutionary mind you, but it’s bright, sunny, major-key, dance-pop.  Chocked-full of quality and good vibes, Talos and Spellenberg craft a sound that is chill and inviting.

“I keep believing the things that you tell me but I
I don’t know if I should
Feels like you’re trying to make me keep falling but I
I don’t care anymore.”

As for Mitchl, he sings about being infatuated with a gorgeous girl who he knows he should totally forget about.  Despite the advice he’s been given, not to mention what he already knows himself, he still “want(s) to be the one for you.” The chorus perfectly sums up where Mitchl stands with the nameless gorgeous girl.

“Hey gorgeous, oh wait, I don’t care about what you said
You can go with him instead
Hey gorgeous, oh wait, I’ve not felt like this before
But I can’t take this shit no more, no
I’ve been hurting, feeling like a fool
But I still want to be the one for you.”

Final Thoughts

All in all, Nick Talos, assisted by the smooth vocals of Mitchl, has a hit on his hands with “Hey Gorgeous.” Short and sweet, “Hey Gorgeous” checks off the boxes for a worthwhile dance cut.
