Stimulated by the thought of them.  Are you fantasizing about doing nasty things with them, or better yet, them doing nasty things to you? Just setting the tone for “Sexsymbol”,  the short but sweet Nicholas Dante joint that concludes his 2024 album, also titled, Sexsymbol.  The singer/songwriter is a handsome fella 😉, so, who can blame the fact that “Everybody, everybody, wants a piece of me.”

“Sexsymbol” is brief – not even one minute-and-a-half long. But, it’s enjoyable despite the brevity.  If you’ve partaken of Dante’s music in the past, you know he has a big personality.  “Sexsymbol” is no exception.  pride heart burstIn the meat of the song, after asserting “Everybody, everybody, wants a piece of me,” he adds, “Take me in, chew me out, grabbing for the piece / Push me to the limit, try to pull some shit on me / Tell me how is that gonna be.” Oh, snap! More like, oh, shit! Dante provides more insight in the verse:

“Tried to fall in love, but they all ghosted me

If I ran a poll, they would say I’m crazy

Nothing is sustainable when you lived like me

So, this is how it’s gonna be.”

Why? He’s a crazy, deranged, and insane sex symbol.  A whore! An object, dammit!  His words, not mine… most of ‘em! Besides his energetic vocals, the instrumental accompaniment is lit.  Seedy sounding, anchored by an insane, rhythmic beat (it’s giving hyperpop), “Sexsymbol” is an ear-catching bop you need in your life.
