Myylo, Kissing on Your Dad | Track Review 🎵

Myylo lightens up a hellacious 2020 with the absolutely, laugh out loud hilarious, ‘hot dad crushing’ bop, “Kiss on Your Dad.”

“Came over to play Xbox / I didn’t think I’d meet a sexpot…” Woo! Myylo is quite the character, period.  If you’ve followed the LGBTQ artist over the past couple of years like I have, well, you clearly see and understand this. Being a ‘character’ is a superb trait to have as an artist, and Michael Myylo Lewis possesses it without a hitch.  He never deprives his fans of a good song about boys and musically, he consistently compels when it comes to lit backdrops. Fans (and stans) are totally spoiled on one of the most fun songs released at his hands, “Kissing on Your Dad,” which he wrote alongside Christian Fiore and Jonathan Bach.  Fiore produces this brief but totally entertaining bop.

Of “Kissing on Your Dad,” Myylo writes via the press release:

“It’s been a minute. 2020 has been a stacked year so I figured I’d bring you guys a little levity with my new song, ‘Kissing on Your Dad.’  If you appreciate the archetypical hot dad who is financially and emotionally stable, then this is for you. If you always wanted a gay ‘Stacy’s Mom’ type anthem, then this is for you!”

I’m in! Anyways, “…He came upstairs from his man cave / I had to tell myself to behave.” Per the commentary and the title, it’s clear Myylo is taking you on a flirtatious trip. A curious Lewis develops a crush for a totally hot daddy who he asserts, “Oo-ee-oo-ee-oo wish that I was calling him daddy.”  Wow.  Of course, we get a description of the hot dad making Lewis feel some type of way – “And he’s so damn tall call him Megatron / Votes democrat with the mail-in.” Again, I say wow, and can you blame him for being turned on? “I want to be the one he’s nailing” –  Ha ha!

Final Thoughts 

Myylo is a gift – I don’t know how else to say it.  He never seems to disappoint.  “Kissing on Your Dad” is absolutely laugh out loud hilarious.  We need more of that given how hellacious 2020 has been with COVID-19, racial injustice, and sketchy AF politics – don’t get me started!   Perhaps “Kissing on Your Dad” is outlandish but is it really that far-fetched? Of course not!
