Myylo, "Cut Him Off" [📷 : Myylo]Always good for a bop, LGBTQ+ pop musician Myylo continues the hot streak with his third satisfying single of 2020, “Cut Him Off.”

“Look babe, I know you’re sad / He’s the best damn dick that you ever had / But I don’t think you were such a match, okay.” Oh, 🎙 Myylo – such a gift to LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 music community! The ‘king’ of pop bops written about boys is back with yet another satisfying, surefire gem, 🎵 “Cut Him Off.” Even though 2020 has sucked royally for everybody, Michael Myylo Lewis has totally kept us going, putting a smile on our faces with his fearless tunes.

“Cut Him Off” runs longer than either “Bored to Tears” or “Kissing on Your Dad” which precedes it. The more Myylo the better – NO CAP! On this 🎙 Christian Fiore produced joint, musically, we get a great backdrop that’s groovy, colorful, and well executed.  It’s perfect fuel for the fire, which tends to be the case with the musician at hand.  Starting with the groovy introduction, “Cut Him Off” sounds like a clear hit.  Of course, Myylo doesn’t disappoint in the least – the aforementioned lyrics from the top of song should confirm this!

That’s right, Myylo is bold and unapologetic from the onset and we wouldn’t have it any other way! You’ve gotta love his attitude and energy as he makes it clear this guy was clearly “a fuck boy prodigy” – not worth the energy let alone heartache.  Giving advice to a friend dejected by the loss of this no-good dude, Lewis makes it clear that it’s best to “cut him off.” As always, we’re served up great vocals – boyish, bright, enthusiastic, and energetic.  The lyrics are on-point, with gems like “I should know I’m the pot you’re the kettle / He’s a spork and that’s dumb utensil.” Furthermore, there’s some great musical contrast, specifically the bridge section.

Final Thoughts 💭

Honestly, I can’t get enough of Myylo – he’s just a total bop.  Again, he’s incredibly impressive and totally true to self.  The scenarios and stories that he tells are relatable and also lend a voice to the LGBTQ+ community, which continues to build its own, distinct music compendium.  As I’ve stated in the past, I don’t believe it’s possible for this guy to deliver a flop.
