Myylo, a must-hear LGBTQ+ pop singer/songwriter, delivers another entertaining, surefire bop with “Cling On.”
“I want to be your one and only /
I want to hold you whenever lonely / Even when we’re having a threesome.” Woo! Clearly, 🎙 Myylo NEVER wants to let his boyfriend go, even in the midst of a ménage à trois! That’s a 🎵 “Cling On” all right, or so the LGBTQ pop star’s fun, tongue-in-cheek single suggests. As always, Myylo showcases great musicianship. Also, as to be expected, he keeps it gay and proud, baby!“Cling On” is vintage Myylo and that is a blessing, whether you’re religious or not! His boyish, youthful pipes are filled with exuberance as he sings so lovingly of his boyfriend (“I think I’m a cling on / Clinging on to you”). Furthermore, he infuses ample personality in this song written alongside 🎼✍ Christian Fiore, incorporating references that include Whole Foods, Star Trek, Dance Dance Revolution, Fritos, mosquitos, and “crying down the aisle in my Target tuxedo.” My, my, my! It’s silly yet enjoyable AF, all told. Besides awesome vocals and entertaining lyrics, the production is lighthearted, energetic, and ready-made for pop radio, where we should be hearing Myylo on the regular.
Final Thoughts 💭
What more is there to say at this point? Myylo is the sugar honey iced tea. He’s the full package. “Cling On” does a fine job of showing his musical and artistic strengths. Furthermore, I must shout out the music video, which is both incredibly gay and most importantly, fun to the nth degree. Not only does the LGBTQ+ community have a certified star, pop music, regardless of sexuality, has a surefire bop maker with Myylo.
