XY is ushering forth a new age in Asian hip hop with her latest release, ‘Mind, Body & Soul‘. The Bradford-based rapper and music producer is a trailblazer for female Asian stars. Furthermore, she carves out a place for herself and uses her one-of-a-kind talent to produce something distinct from other sounds in the same genre.

Composing music under lockdown, the singer rises with her distinctive Yorkshire twang, carving a new path on a competitive road. Her delivery is crisp, and her message resonates for the right reasons. MXY delves deep and gets honest with her reflection of modern society, using her narrative effectively. Her storey is spiritual, as she frequently taps into the subconscious and uses the drive that runs through her veins.

The music is just as enthralling as MXY’s vocal performance. Furthermore, the music is vibrant and full of exhilarating noises that stand out with distinction. A lot is going on in the track’s mix. But it all comes together nicely, and all of the instruments and sounds get their time to shine.

MXY has a long way to go before she truly cements herself in the history books, but her start is tremendous. Also, this tune will also provide her with a firm foundation to create even more empowering smashes in the months and years ahead. However, we’ve seen it before with other artists who are onto something but sacrifice quality; let’s hope she stays true to her concept.
