MUSTiE, Fantasma | Track Review 🎵

“Fantasma” is the latest track from Mustie. I instantly got hooked in just from the email subject line, which was “Electronic Chill Just Got Real.” Well, that is not too far from the truth.

Mustie is an artist who is up and coming in his local area of Sheffield. He is also now building a name for himself all around the UK on the electronic and pop scene. It appears he is doing very well. Why? Because the kid has talent.

Not long ago, I became a massive fan of FKA Twigs. The sound which I heard with his music was fresher than a bag of grapes. I always felt like I wanted to hear more and to hear other artists play around with that style. Mustie has pretty much done that here. It is not a clone of anything I have listened to previously, but it does sound pretty similar to the likes of FKA Twigs. I can only imagine that he is one of Mustie’s influences and to be honest, I am glad he is.

The track resonates well with anyone who has been in a relationship which hit the rocky road. The artist speaks candidly about false promises and how one moment your partner is by your side and the next they are out of your life. That motive pretty much stretches across the entirety of the release and gives us a clear indication of the artist’s emotion. Rightly so, he wears his heart on his sleeve, and this makes for a more intimate delivery. As a result, it is difficult not to find yourself jumping into his shoes.

It is an electronic track with exquisite elements of chill and pop. Mustie layers instruments properly, and for me, it is best to serve this loud.
