The third quarter of 2017 starts off modestly.  Honestly, July 7, 2017 is one of the quietest, most uneventful music release dates of the year.  The biggest attraction comes by way of HAIM, who returns with their sophomore album, Something to Tell You.  Otherwise, this appears to be a week to spin the music that’s already in your collection, or explore projects you might’ve missed.

Alternative trio HAIM returns with its highly-anticipated sophomore album, Something to Tell YouSomething to Tell You arrives four years after the sisters’ debut effort, Days Are Gone, which debuted at no. 6 on the Billboard 200. 11 songs deep, three songs arrived ahead of the album: “Want You Back,” “Little of Your Love,” and “Right Now.”

Twista returns with Crook County following a three-year hiatus. Crook County follows The Dark Horse, released in August 2014.  Comprised of 13 tracks, singles “Mortuary” (featuring Vic Spencer), “Baddest” (featuring Cap1), and “Stackin Paper” were released in advance of the album.  In addition to Cap1 and Vic Spencer, featured guests include Bandman Kevo, and Supa Bwe among others.

Up-and-coming country singer Parker McCollum returns with a new EP, Probably Wrong: Session OneProbably Wrong follows McCollum’s debut album, The Limestone Kid, which arrived in February 2015.  Session One is comprised of only four songs, including pre-release single “I Can’t Breathe.”
