12-15-17 album releasesEminem (‘Revival’) and G-Eazy (‘The Beautiful & Damned’) represent the biggest releases arriving on during the last notable new music release week of 2017.

Ah, the final notable new music release week of 2017 – December 15, 2017! G-Eazy (The Beautiful & Damned) was the biggest attraction, before Eminem announced the off-cycle release of his highly-anticipated album, Revival.  Technically, G-Eazy retains his status as king on December 15, considering Eminem doesn’t arrived until Sunday, December 17. Hallelujah.

 

1. Eminem, Revival

Eminem, Revival © InterscopeEminem brings that surprise ‘gargantuan’ album release (Reputation by Taylor Swift was expected) to the 2017 holiday season with Revival.  Revival arrives more than four years after the last Eminem album, The Marshall Mathers LP2 (2013).  Stuffed with 19 tracks, singles “Walk on Water” featuring Beyoncé, and “Untouchable” were issued in advance of Revival.  It should be noted, Revival is an off-cycle release, first available December 17.

2. G-Eazy, The Beautiful & Damned

G-Eazy, The Beautiful & Damned © RCAUntil the release of a new Eminem album was announced, G-Eazy lay claim to the most anticipated release arriving mid-December. G-Eazy returns with his highly-anticipated third studio album, The Beautiful & DamnedThe Beautiful & Damned follows-up his platinum-certified sophomore album, These Things Happen.  Comprised of 20 tracks, five singles were issued in advance of the album including No Limitfeaturing A$AP Rocky & Cardi B and “Him & I” (with Halsey) and “Sober” featuring Charlie Puth.

 

3. N.E.R.D., No One Ever Really Dies

N.E.R.D., No One Ever Really Dies © ColumbiaN.E.R.D. returns after a seven-year hiatus with its fourth studio album, No One Really DiesThe last we heard from the Pharrell Williams-led trio was in 2010 with under-the-radar effort, Nothing.  Comprised of 11 tracks, singles “Lemon” with Rihanna, and “1000” featuring Future, were issued in advance of the album.

4. Linkin Park, One More Light Live

Sad.  The world gets one final taste of the late singer on One More Light Live, which is comprised of 16 songs.  In advance of the live effort, live versions of “Crawling” and “Sharp Edges” were released.

5. Bright: The Album

Bright: The Album © AtlanticAh, another star-studded soundtrack is upon us!  The soundtrack to Bright, the film starring Will Smith, features the likes of Bastille, Logic, and Migos. Comprised of 13 tracks, singles “Broken People,” “World Gone Mad,” “Home,” “Darkside,” and “Danger” were issued in advance of the album.
