WWas Morgan Wallen ever canceled? He has made his fair share of mistakes but does a canceled individual continue to experience the degree of success he has? Methinks not.  With all of his albums continuing to ignite the charts, as well as a dominant no. 1 single with Post Malone ( “I Had Some Help”), Wallen is thriving. The thriving continues with “Lies Lies Lies”, his second solo single of 2024.  “Lies Lies Lies” was written by Daniel Ross, Jessie Jo Dillon, Chris Tompkins, and Josh Miller. Joey Moi produced it – no lie!

BS! He admits in the chorus he’s lying: “Lies, lies, lies / Look into my eyes, eyes, eyes / I’m still a fool for you / Nothin’ I wouldn’t do for you.” In the third verse, he continues his lying ways: “Bet you’re missin’ me as bad as I miss you / Snowballs to a phone call.” So, not only is the country star delusional, he drunk and lonely.  Ultimately, his lies and legitimate feelings are perfect for a well-rounded country song.  Wallen may be a ‘hot mess,’ but he has a fabulous voice.  He sings expressively on “Lies Lies Lies” which benefits from tuneful melodies, memorable chorus, and sound production. If Wallen remains canceled, Darius Rucker asserts it’s time to forgive him.
