Moneybagg Yo & GloRilla, On Wat U On | Track Review 🎵

Memphis rappers Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla join forces for the expletive-laden, gives no Fs, sexually charged, unapologetic rap banger, “On Wat U On.”

With 🎙 Moneybagg Yo and 🎙 GloRilla collaborating, one thing is for: Memphis, Tennessee is in the house! While these two rappers share their hometown and rapping skills, their chemistry as a couple on the single, 🎵 “On Wat U On” is sus at best.  Not sus is the production work by 🎛 YC, Skywalker OG, and DrumGod which provides a sick backdrop that is ample fuel for the fire.  Still, the way that Yo and Glo speak to one another is nothing short of toxic.

“Fuck my ho, fuck that bitch / I don’t give a fuck ‘bout none of this shit.” Whoa, whoa, Moneybagg Yo! He continues on the explicit chorus, “Leave me alone, don’t text my phone / It is what it is, I’m on what you on.” Ok… GloRilla is no better mind, asserting, “Fuck my nigga, he ain’t shit / Boy ain’t good for nothin’ but dick.” Sigh, the peen always gets a shout out, doesn’t it? Beyond the expletive-laden chorus, both rappers’ characters talk shit about one another.  In the first verse, Moneybagg Yo characterizes Glo as annoying, yet also professes his love, and mentions how good sex atones for the issues (“Know I love you, bae, our problems go away when my dick is in you”). As for GloRilla, she’s even more unapologetic in the second verse. She sums up the state of the relationship as she spits, “Ol’ cheatin’ ass, toxic ass, good dick motherfucker / With my man today, back outside tomorrow.” My goodness!

Final Thoughts 💭 

Finesse does NOT come into the picture with a collaboration like 🎵 “On Wat U On” turns out to be.  Face it, this rap banger is straight up ghetto! Refined it’s not, entertaining it is. Lives won’t be changed by hearing the many profanities dropped by Moneybagg Yo and GloRilla but if you listening rotation needs some unapologetic, gives-no-Fs spice, “On Wat U On” has got you covered.
