Minna Ora, Wind | Track Review

inna Ora is one of the many notable performers hailing from Finland, and as time goes on, she continues to impress us with each new single that she shares with us. Her newest track, ‘Wind‘, is a new high point in her career. It pushes the boundaries even further and continues where the singer-songwriter left off with ‘Fire‘.

Minna is a breath of fresh air, vocally. Her singing method is out of the box, and she does not imitate what has come in the past. Instead, she forges her own route, one of the most important things that artists must accomplish to differentiate themselves from the cacophony that is occurring all around them in today’s world. Also, Minna leverages her character to deliver a theatrical performance full of ups and downs.

The lyrics are powerful, and Minna uses the wind as an analogy for those occurrences in life where everything is proving challenging, only to realise that there is calm at the storm’s end. It is analogous to how the wind forces its way at us before eventually going away, leaving calm and peace in its wake.

It is possible that ‘Wind‘ is Minna’s most compelling release yet. Although it possesses characteristics similar to her earlier releases, it has an exceptional ability to provoke thought. Also, it is not just the lyrics that resonate; the music is alluring too.
