The handsome and talented pop musician Mike Taveira delivers four fabulous songs on his 2023 EP, Bloom All Night.
WHAT A MAN 😍! Let’s just keep it totally 💯: 🎙 Mike Taveira is incredibly hot 🥵 – swoon-worthy! Furthermore, it’s hard to cease the objectification given clothing choices… or lack thereof 😈. While it’s easy to get lost in those dashing good looks, most importantly, he’s a fabulous musician. A big reason why he is successful is because of his talent as well as how he integrates a sexy personality into his music (see the likes of 🎵 “Sex For Breakfast” and 🎵 “Sujo”. The pansexual 🏳️🌈 artist impresses on his four-song, 2023 EP, 💿 Bloom All Night. Is it just me, or, is it getting hot 🥵 in here!
“Bloom All Night”
Mike Taveira has a nice body, BUT he admits he struggled with being chubby as a child, and, disturbingly, an eating disorder 😢. What does this have to do with the opening track, 🎵 “Bloom All Night”? Per Taveira on IG, “I wrote ‘Bloom All Night’ as a dark and ironic dialogue with my ED. The lyrics pretend to be about staying empty for 🍆🍑💦 and how seductive being hungry can feel, even though I’m wasting away.” Wow 😮! “Bloom All Night” is indeed dark, set in a minor key, and features mysterious, top-notch production. There are some awesome chromatic ideas, sound effects, Baroque pop-ish cues, and pitch-shifted vocals. Of course, the deceptive Taveira delivers sexy vocals, even if he’s approaching a deeper subject matter. “Bloom All Night” features ear-catching melodies throughout, particularly in the chorus. The bridge is cool too, with the distinct vocal production, and a temporary beat switch, which keeps things engaging. “Bloom All Night” is a helluva way to initiate the EP.
“Chained”
“I’ll give up heaven for you babe, burn my name.” Whoa, Mike! It doesn’t stop there, as later, the dashing singer, asserts, “I don’t wanna be free / ‘Cause I need / To be chained.” Damn ⛓️! After setting the tone on 🎵 “Bloom All Night”, Taveira is sexed TF up on 🎵 “Chained” which is serving up a heaping dose of kinkiness 😈. Taveira wrote “Chained” alongside 🎼 ✍ Ahrya Far, Miranda Glory, and Skyler Cocco. Far produces this slick joint alongside 🎛️ Jordan Palmer and Hubby 💪. “Chained” benefits from a fab groove at the onset. Despite being overt, Taveira sings in an undertone, highlighting his low, sultry register 😍. I love his ‘subtlety,’ however, by the pre-chorus, he embraces explicitness: “Fuck me til I die / In our paradise / Spark me up / And hit it once or twice / Make me take a bite…” Ooh wee 😈! Taveira has the personality to sell this track, which also finds him dipping into his Portuguese in the bridge (“Quero você,” which translates as, I want you). “Chained” is perfect for the bedroom, or you choice of place to, you know, DO IT 🍆 🍑 💦. As for work, you probably should avoid playing this one there, as well as 🎵 “Sujo” (more on that one, later).

🎵 “Riptide”
“What a moment, while the birds are singing first thing in the morning / All the covers wrapped around you while you sleep with me…” Ooh-la-la – this man right here! After being naughty, the tide changes on 🎵 “Riptide.” Even with Mike Taveira thinking less with his… he continues to be totally swoon-worthy, sigh 😍. “Riptide” is a gorgeous, mid-tempo, pop ballad. It commences with a warm introduction, with those amazing Taveira vocals entering the picture in all their glory. Here, Mike is in reflective mode, questioning the state of the relationship. “Know your heart can’t let me go, but your mind is wanting out,” he sings at the end of the first verse, continuing, “So, I’m giving you your space now.” Bummer 😢. The chorus really makes you feel some type of way, truly the centerpiece:
“Do you believe that it’s gonna be you and me for real like
Swim in the deep in the ocean will we catch that riptide
Will you be, will you be there, will you?
Where you float, where you floating off to?
Running free when my twenties leave
There’s a river I’ll cry over you and me.”
The relatable nature of “Riptide” is part of the reason it’s another masterful moment from Bloom All Night. And then there was…
“Sujo”
🎵 “Sujo”, of course! “Take my body / And share it with your friends / I’m your property / Now until the end…” “Sujo” (nasty, dirty, or filthy in Portuguese) is drenched in sex – a definitely NSFW, titillating joint from Mike. “Sujo” was slickly produced by 🎛 Jordan Palmer. The backdrop is fresh, and, given the Portuguese title, and some Portuguese lyrics, there is Latin flavor. The Spanish guitar and rhythm give “Sujo” a Latin pop identity. Taveira and Palmer penned this naughty, nasty record alongside 🎼✍ Paul Mauer and Skyler Cocco. In a tweet, Taveira asserts, “I wanted to create a very grown up, very queer, very liberated version of the feeling I had dancing to that style of music [traditional fado music].” He adds, “This song is about some experiences I’ve had… let the lyrics speak for themselves.” Ooh wee! As stated, the lyrics are muy caliente. Nasty or not, it is impossible not to keep the two-and-a-half-minute 🎵 “Sujo” on repeat.

Final Thoughts 💭
Simply put, 🎙 Mike Taveira is the man. More folks need to be talking about him. Yes, I’ve objectified him far too much in this album review, but what makes him most impressive is his musicianship. Expressive vocals, colorful production, and strong songwriting make the 11-minute 💿 Bloom All Night a blast. As for gems, well, guess what? All four songs are sweet!
