Mike Mineo, "What Love Is" [📷.: Red 9]Nashville-based pop singer/songwriter Mike Mineo is seeking true, legitimate love on his fantastic, infectious single, “What Love Is.”

According to pop artist 🎙 Mike Mineo, of his single, 🎵 “What Love Is” captures “that point when you know it’s over and you want to find true love, but you’re still afraid of letting go.” Ah, those matters of the heart – they are always perfect fuel for the fire, particularly when it comes to pop songs.  Mineo definitely ‘brings the heat’ on “What Love Is,” which perhaps sounds much catchier enthusiastic than some of the love pain that Mineo, and everyone else in the world experiences at some point in their lives, haha.  Safe to say, Mike definitely perks up our ears with this near-four-minute, love-seeking B-O-P.

“What Love Is” commences in infectious fashion – music to my ears, YO! The groove is ‘everything,’ with its enthusiastic drums and ripe rhythmic guitar.  Safe to say, the Nashville-based, Boca Raton native has a ‘lit’ backdrop to paint his vocals upon (🎛 Reed Berin and 🎛 Louis Johnson produce).  Speaking of those vocals, they’re rock solid in their own right – and in the most ‘pop’ way possible! Mineo has a fabulous tone and sings with ample personality.  The minute you hear him, you buy what he’s selling. He brings a solid blend of playfulness, spirit, and finesse. Further contributing to his elite musicianship are his 🎼✍ songwriting skills, which, as stated earlier, perfectly captures that dead-end relationship where you know it must end yet it’s still quite hard to totally 🎵 “Let It Go” Elsa.

Final Thoughts 💭

Hopefully, Mike Mineo discovers “What Love is,” just as he asserts on his fantastic pop single.  Honestly, Mike checks off all the boxes of an elite, well-constructed pop songs – kudos, kudos, kudos.  The best attributes of “What Love Is”: great production, relatable theme and lyrics, and an elite vocal performance by Mineo that showcases his artistry, musicianship, and versatility. Fancy tickled.
