On the 11th edition of After Dark (2022), we explore the naughty, risqué, & sexual vibes behind, “Arch & Point” by Miguel.
I
nnuendo? More like full-on sexual vibes! Welcome to After DarkTheme & Lyrics
“When it feels so good then it just come natural / Baby, arch your back, point your toes.” Woo!
Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter
Miguel had one hell of a year in 2012. His sophomore album,
Kaleidoscope Dreams, was not only one of the best albums of 2012 but also one of the best of the decade. That said, the sexy
“Arch & Point” – After Dark
s#!t exemplified – is underrated compared to, say,
“Adorn” (it shouldn’t be).
Sex is the modus operandi, period. Just about any time there’s mention of arching one’s back, the universal three-letter word is in the mix. There’s also more innuendo and suggestive vibes. There’s the idea that a bad girl knows more than a good one per the refrain, as well as dabbling in fetishism (verse three).
Final Thoughts
Just to reiterate, Kaleidoscope Dream marks the best album of Miguel’s career. “Adorn” is the centerpiece but “Arch & Point” is sweet (and sexy) too! I mean, who doesn’t want to “Arch your back, and point your toes” after (or while) listening to this gem?
