After impressing on a cover of “When I Fall in Love,” Michael Bublé returns with a compelling original for his second ‘love’ single, “Love You Anymore.”
Despite rumors of retirement, Michael Bublé seems to be in ‘in it for the long haul’ – music that is. After a two-year hiatus, the Canadian pop singer returns with love, arriving November 16, 2018. After wowing with a gorgeous rendition of “When I Fall in Love”, Bublé returns with another gem, original “Love You Anymore,” which is notably co-written by Charlie Puth, and co-produced by the legendary David Foster.
As to be expected, “Love You Anymore” features excellent production. The bass/guitar tandem is a great accompaniment for Bublé, particularly the chords. The subtlety of the backdrop is one of its biggest selling points. For the most part, “Love You Anymore” remains even keel as opposed to being overblown. Bublé continues to deliver in the vocal department, dropping a beautiful, well-rounded performance. He never has to push, sings with incredible ease, naturally. Beyond his own vocals, the lush and smooth supporting vocals only provide more ‘fuel for the fire’ for Bublé’s lead.
Final Thoughts
All in all, “Love You Anymore” is a well-rounded, incredibly pleasant record by all means. Thank goodness he’s not retiring, but if he were, he’d definitely be ‘going out on top’ with love.
