Matt Jaffe, Time Traveler | Track Review 🎵

Gifted pop singer/songwriter Matt Jaffe continues to shine on “Time Traveler,” his second released in 2021. 

Have you checked out the gifted singer/songwriter 🎙 Matt Jaffe yet? If the answer is NO, well, what’s wrong with you! Seriously, let’s fix that right here and right now! Jaffe released two brand-new singles at the end of 2020, including the fabulous 🎵 “Voodoo Doll” (the final track review released in 2020 on The Musical Hype – just saying).  Now, with 2021 in full swing, Jaffe continues to drop compelling new music, including his second single, 🎵 “Time Traveler.”

The pros are ample on “Time Traveler” – so much to praise! The sound of the record is awesome, particularly the timbre constructed by the guitars.  Of course, the most beautiful timbre of the record is none other than those sweet vocals by Matt Jaffe. He sings incredibly expressively, never forcing things, and coming off as incredibly authentic.  Furthering the listening experience are gorgeous, tuneful melodies which are quite satisfying to the ear.  Add to the mix strong songwriting, which Jaffe continues to exhibit time and time again, and “Time Traveler” feels incredibly elite.

Continuing the victory lap that is “Time Traveler,” there’s great pacing throughout; this record takes its time developing.  Eventually, the intensity picks up on the bridge section.  Here, Jaffe pushes more, while the instrumental is also more dynamic.  Once reaching this ‘fever pitch’ of sorts, the record doesn’t stay there, as things come back down once more.  No worries, as there’s one final push, which is instrumental (an extended outro of sorts).

Final Thoughts 💭

Once again, Matt Jaffe is “the cat’s meow,” ha-ha.  In all honesty, this musician continues to deliver excellent music that more people need to be aware of, listening to, and talking about.  Does Jaffe have the ability to disappoint? The answer to that, my friends, is a resounding no.  “Time Traveler” continues his knack for sheer excellence.
