Marilyn Manson returns in fitting, unapologetic fashion.  The last time we heard from Manson, he was singing about “Killing Strangers” on The Pale Emperor.  This go-round, two years later, he asserts, “We Know Where You F*cking Live” on his new album, Heaven Upside Down (arriving October 6). The question is, “So, what’s a nice place like this / Doing ‘round people like us?”

Lyrically, the song matches the dark, devilish vibes of the title. From the start, on the first verse, Marilyn Manson isn’t playing around in the least.

“Let’s make something clear / We’re recording this as it happens / Those diamond bullets, storefront blood banks / Splinters and stained glass / Don’t need to move as a single prayer bone / Dodge bullets so loud and so low / Don’t need to move a single prayer bone / Our death is still life.”

The chorus is incredibly assertive, as expected from a Marilyn Manson song.  Manson is on autopilot, screaming to the top of his lungs.

“We know where you f*cking live / We know where you f*cking live / We’ll burn it down, burn it down / They won’t even recognize your corpse.”

As epic as the chorus is, the bridge is simply devastating. Lyrically, it’s all about repetition, but the impact has a pulverizing effect: “Fire, fire, fire, fire, fire away!”

Final Thoughts

Throughout the course of “We Know Where You F*cking Live,” Marilyn Manson is charged up to nth degree.  Ultimately, it’s well-produced and even better than the production, is the valedictory performance. Manson is creepy and playful on the verses, while he’s brutal on the bridge and chorus sections.
