Maluma, Mala Mía [Photo Credit: Sony Music Entertainment]Columbia superstar Maluma uses his sexy, seductive charm and sick pipes to conjure up a hit on his new reggaetón single, “Mala Mía.”

Let’s keep it real.  Maluma is a really good-looking guy.  Will anybody deny it? Of course, they won’t.  He has every right to include that signature shout out, “Maluma baby,” in his songs. Furthermore, considering his looks, and his swagger, the Columbian reggaetón artist has every right to sing songs about women, love, and sex.  With that said, we have ‘another one’ from the Ladies’ man, “Mala Mía.”

If you don’t speak Spanish, don’t feel bad – you don’t really have to for this one.  The premise is that the hella handsome Maluma steals somebody else’s girlfriend.  He knows it’s wrong, but it’s his life.  Yes, he’s totally wrong, but as the aforementioned paragraph made it crystal clear, he’s a really good-looking guy.  The tattoos only add to his ‘bad boy’ persona.  Sure, you can’t see his tats through the record, but it’s sleek, percussive, and reggaetón to the core.  #Vibes throughout this groovy joint.  And while we’ve focused on objectifying Maluma, his best attributes are his awesome vocals, which are expressive and chocked-full of confidence and swagger.

Final Thoughts

Maybe “Mala Mía” doesn’t change your life, but it will add some spice to your playlist. And again, if you’ve seen what Maluma looks like, well, you should have no issue picturing the narrative of this record. Of course, you could just watch the video – much eye candy involved.  “Maluma baby!”
