“Let it rain, baby, rain / ‘til we slide into the eye of a hurricane.” Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter Lucky Daye (David Brown) has a knack for delivering hits.  Yes, many may cry foul that R&B is dead, but this talented man keeps the genre alive and well. “HERicane” is another winner from his catalog, thriving off an infectious groove from the opening tip. He penned the single alongside Dustin “Dab” Bowie, Frank Nitty, Mike Hunnid, and R&B producer extraordinaire, D’Mile. “HERicane” is a surefire vibe – the sugar honey iced tea!

He sells this loving and lustful experience like a champ. In the first verse, he sings, “I wanna kiss you, baby / More than physical (yeah) / If I miss this moment, I’ll be pissed off, yeah.” Word.  In the second, it’s “Talkin’ dirty, sparks go up / This ain’t flirtin’, you deserve it, and you’re worth that much.” So, he’s gassing her up, prepping for the penthouse – the chorus! “I’ll take you to the top floor, baby / If you want it, don’t let me go, hold on, just ride.” Ride seems to be the keyword there.  With its memorable songwriting, rhythmic and tuneful melodies, terrific vocals, and utterly sublime production, “HERicane” is the cat’s meow.
