Lizzo, Still Bad [📷: Nice Life Recording Company / Atlantic Recording Corporation]Grammy-winning pop artist Lizzo keeps it ‘bad’ in the best, most ear-catching way possible on her single, “Still Bad.”

“He act like he can’t be replaced, okay / Well, he gon’ hate to see me leave but love to watch me walk away.” Ooh-wee! Lizzo (Melissa Jefferson) is a sickening musician, PERIOD! EXCLAMATION! After wowing with her Prince-infused comeback single, “Love in Real Life”, Ms. Jefferson delivers another surefire bop with “Still Bad”. She produced this funky-pop joint alongside Ricky Reed, and Blake Slatkin produced it.

Musically, the backdrop is lit! “Still Bad” thrives on an awesome groove and bass line.  The music gets even better with the entrance of the rhythm guitar.  Lizzo has ample musical inspiration.  He performance is filled with attitude – playful and unapologetic.  Throughout “Sill Bad,” she is ‘bad,’ dropping her fair share of profanity. “He knocked me down,” she sings in the pre-chorus, continuing, “Thought I’d never get my fine ass off the ground.” Oh, snap! In the second verse, she sings, “I make that been through shit look sеxy, anyway,” adding, “I don’t need him, I need to throw ass, been a minute.” How many fucks does she give? None! The chorus is the section to beat – infectious to the nth degree:

“I don’t need him, I need a drink

Let’s turn this pain into some champagne, baby

Like cheers, bitch, it’s been a day

Might take that last flight out to Vegas, what y’all think? (Okay)

I don’t need him, I need a drink

I don’t know why life is so fucked up lately

But after everything

I’m still surviving, and I’m still bad, baby

So, bitch I can’t complain.”

Word! In case you did not know, Lizzo is, indeed, “Still Bad”. Her ‘badness’ is sweet, sweet music to our ears!
