Lil Uzi Vert, That's a Rack [Photo Credit: Atlantic]Like “Sanguine Paradise,” Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Uzi Vert flexes hard on “That’s a Rack,” a promo single from his forthcoming album, ‘Eternal Awake.’

“Fuck from the back, hit her once, that’s a wrap / No strings attached, that’s a rack, that’s a rack… / Water on my neck, swim through that, that’s a lap.” Confident Cocky much? Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Uzi Vert returns with two brand-new singles – “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s a Rack.”  Interestingly, both singles arrive more than half-a-year after Lil Uzi dropped a previous ‘comeback’ single, “New Patek”. Both “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s a Rack” are about the same duration (four minutes) and set in a minor key.

“That’s a Rack” is pretty straightforward, something that separates it from “Sanguine Paradise.” Following the intro, Lil Uzi Vert drops the aforementioned dripping, memorable chorus.  It sets the tone for this record, which is flex to nth degree.  It should be noted that the chorus is varied throughout, though captures the same sentiment.  The sentiment on the verses is pretty cut and dry as well.  On the brief first verse, Uzi references Fendi, while also writing off thots, and asserting “that fuck-nigga will get clapped.” Charming.  The second verse runs longer, but encompasses the same things: luxury, violence, and sex.  Unsurprisingly, the story is much the same on the third verse – “650 for a hat, 6666 hundred for a jacket.”

Final Thoughts

Once again, Lil Uzi Vert wins on “That’s a Rack.” Arguably, “Sanguine Paradise” is the cleverer single of the two, but “That’s a Rack” remains enjoyable.  It benefits from solid production work and of course Uzi successfully selling his dripping ways.  Won’t change your life, but “That’s a Rack” is a solid banger.
