“Gucci Gang” rapper Lil Pump asserts his return on “I’m Back,” a brief, utterly forgettable, substance-less rap single.
“I’m back (Ooh), my whip got a whole lot of straps (Whoa, yeah, yeah).” Ok… Unfortunately, if you hoped we’d left
Lil Pump behind in the 2010s, well, he’s back! That’s right, Mr.
“Gucci Gang” dropped
“I’m Back” on August 24, 2022. The results are… a HOT MESS!
Think of “I’m Back” as a prime example of saying nothing substantial on the track. Lil Pump is confident – more like cocky – but he really doesn’t bring the heat. He does show he’s a bad person, but any one who’s followed him over the years knows and understands this:
“If the beat is whack, the producer gets smacked up
If I wake up and there’s no drugs, then I’m throwin’ a tantrum.”
TRASH! He also brags about his foreigns, “Gettin’ [his] dick sucked on the freeway” (reckless), and being “The same nigga got your daughter on Xanax.” Essentially, this is the playbook a younger Pump used years ago. He’s now 22, but does he feel like he’s matured? Absolutely not!
Final Thoughts
“I’m Back” is a waste of time, all told. There’s nothing distinct about what he serves up. He’s always been a bad boy, and on “I’m Back,” it’s no different. Still, there’s no substance other than his continual promotion of drugs. Other rappers drop the same shee-it but outpace Lil Pump.
