In the 13th edition of Bangerz N Bopz (2026), we break down “nuts” performed by Lil Peep featuring rainy bear.

“Girl, you know you make my cold heart warm with a touch / One kiss, then we fuckin’, I just can’t get enough.”
Word, Lil Peep (Gustav Åhr, 1996 – 2017).  The late rapper collaborated with rainy bear (Baron Black) on the short but compelling emo-tinged, melodic rap cut, “nuts”.  “Nuts” appeared as the fourth track on Lil Peep’s 2015 mixtape, LIVE FOREVER. Lil Peep and rainy bear penned this nutty gem with Michael Furjanic, Neill Livingston, and producer Willie G.

“Nuts” begins enigmatically.  The musical accompaniment sounds cloudy and nebulous. It remains moody with the entrance of the hard-hitting, sleek drum programming. Rainy bear draws first blood with his distinct vocals, matching the mood of the backdrop. He rides the mysterious beat sensationally. Rainy bear and Lil Peep perform the chorus together:

“Yeah, I just wanna hear the sound

Drive our Camaros out of town

Baby, we could leave right now, whoa

Yeah, I just wanna feel alive

Baby, take your time

Smokin’ on this loud, whoa.”

Lil Peep takes the lead in the second and final verse. He is on his melodic emo-tinged rap shyt, as excerpted earlier.  “I remember eatin’ pussy on the back of the bus / I remember gettin’ nooky ‘til the Sun came up,” he raps, and concludes, “All the places that you took me, no one came with us / Same hoes overlook me, now they on my nuts.”  And there you have it, folks, the only time nuts are mentioned in “nuts”.  All told, this is an intriguing record thanks to its moody accompaniment, tuneful melodies, memorable lyrics, and strong performances by Lil Peep and rainy bear.
