Grammy-nominated melodic rapper Lil Baby drops another banger with the short but utterly sweet “Insecurities.”
“Got me wide open, we been vibin’ / A couple insecurities, I even fell in love with all your flaws.” On “Insecurities”, Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Baby keeps things short and sweet. The single is brief, running just two minutes, and ‘change.’ Even so, there are ‘plenty of cooks in the kitchen.’ Wheezy, CuBeatz, Macshooter, and Klimperboy produced “Insecurities” which thrives off a knocking, trap beat, and shimmering, minor key, rhythmic synths.
“Insecurities” is a vibe thanks to the sleek production. Even so, Lil Baby brings the heat with his confident, melodic rap performance. His cadence and flow are ‘fire.’ He says a lot – those rhymes are quick! He kicks things off with a bang in the first verse: “Got a couple of Ms, don’t need nothing, I’m close to the ground, tell the camera, ‘Can’t catch this.’” There’s more in the same verse, where he adds, “For a fact, these lil’ niggas ain’t fuckin’ with me, reached the top, and I ain’t break a sweat, bitch.” Damn straight! In the second verse, a super confident Lil Baby is “In Dubai with some super fine shit, we on a jet ski.” The ‘we’ is him and a girl who has a boyfriend, to which he spits, “I heard you got a boyfriend, you need to dead that.” On God! Beyond the colorful bars in the verses, the chorus is also memorable, despite how fast he raps.
“I provide for you, never lie to you, keep you right out the mix
Baby, you would never be involved
Got me wide open, we been vibin’
A couple insecurities, I even fell in love with all your flaws
You know I’m always workin’, but I answer all your calls
Ain’t no hidden motives, I be doin’ it just because
Got me wide open, we been vibin’
A couple insecurities, I even fell in love with all your flaws.”
Ooh-wee! Lil Baby dropped a hot one with “Insecurities”!
