Leon Bridges x Lucky Daye, "All About You" [📷 : Columbia]“All About You,” a collaboration between R&B standouts Leon Bridges and Lucky Daye, isn’t a flashy record, but all in all, beautiful and quite enjoyable.

What do you get when you put 🎙 Leon Bridges and 🎙 Lucky Daye on the same record? The answer is, a R&B enthusiast’s dream! Bridges is a Grammy winner, while Daye is a nominee.  Both singers bring ‘the goods’ to the table. All that considered, it’s not surprising that their collaborative single, 🎵 “All About You,” is a winner.

Leon and Lucky don’t draw things out – they give us a solid, sufficient three minutes’ worth of song. “All About You” opens with chill, rhythmic guitar, given off those grown-folk R&B vibes.

Soon enough, rhythmic drum programming anchors things, further committing to a refined, mature sound.  Both musicians deliver in the vocal department – silky smooth, soulful vocals. Bridges draws first blood on the first verse, with Daye taking the second.  While there’s a clear contrast between them, they both approach their respective performances with incredible ease. Both focus on her exclusively, regarding love and dedication. SHE and ONLY she, is the main attraction.  Also, worth noting is the chorus, which is simple, but quite effective. It has a very warm and romantic vibe.

“It’s all about you
It ain’t about me
I got feelings too
That you clearly can’t see.”

Final Thoughts 💭

“All About You” isn’t a flashy record – it doesn’t need to be.  The respective ladies have made these respective men feel some type of way.  As the title asserts, it’s “all about you [her].” While it won’t change the game, Leon Bridges and Lucky Daye drop a record that’s quite beautiful and incredibly pleasant when it’s all said and done.
