KYLE, To the Moon © Atlantic2017 XXL Freshman rapper KYLE continues to exhibit massive potential on his latest single, “To the Moon.”

KYLE, who has one of the coolest Twitter handles (@SuperDuperKyle), has already proven he has the potential to be a force in the rap game.  The question for the fun, infectious rapper is WHEN will he drop his ‘official,’ major-label debut album, sigh. As of publication time, his latest single, “To the Moon,” is yet another single unattached to a parent album. Sigh again.

KYLE keeps things short and sweet on “To the Moon.” Opening with moody, minor key production work, a vibe is set from the jump. Adding to that mood and vibe is a slower, more relaxed tempo. Despite the pace, the drum programming keeps the rhythmic intensity on-point. Even against a darker backdrop, the bright, bubbly personality of the rapper still shines through.  His distinct tone plays a big role, but so does the simple, yet incredible effective hook.

“Mm
To the moon, to the moon
Mm
Let’s go to the moon.”

Kid CuDi vibes?

Final Thoughts

“Ooh this is my shit, ay.”  Indeed KYLE, indeed.  “To the Moon” is enjoyable from start to finish.  Slick production work, infectious personality, and a simple, yet stellar hook makes “To the Moon” a winner.  He doesn’t drop transcendent rhymes, but “To the Moon” has more than enough to make it a winner. Next goal for the rapper – drop the album!
