Up-and-coming California rapper KYLE continues to showcase great potential on his infectious single “All Mine,” featuring MadeinTYO.
KYLE, a member of the XXL Freshman Class 2017, is coming up. After the successful single “iSPY,” the 24-year old Cali rapper is in high demand. Following a big hit like “iSPY” is never easy, but @SuperDuperKyle seems to have that ‘extra, special something’ to clearly make him a superstar. He definitely has mad potential on single “All Mine,” where he’s assisted by another up-and-comer, MadeinTYO.
“All Mine” is exuberant from the start, set in a major key, with slick production. Early on, KYLE showcases his big, infectious personality.
“Okay, I’m back / How you tell me I overreact? / When you posted a picture of your ass / And every little n*gga double taps / F*ck that, that ain’t how it goes / Oh no, we ain’t selling tickets to the show…”
He pop-raps here, and while autotune plays a role, it doesn’t sound overwrought like some of his colleagues. On the chorus, he lays claim to what’s his:
“That shit is mine / I don’t wanna see that ass online / Stop making it so easy to find / Tell them other dudes to get in line / It’s all mine, all mine / That just for me / I don’t wanna see it in a tweet / Post up for everyone to see / You know you supposed to send that shit to me / It’s all mine, yah, that shit is mine, yah.”
KYLE has a point – at least about posting certain personal pics online. On the second verse, he continues on about the pics made only for him, etc. On the third verse, MadeinTYO makes an appearance. The unpitched rhymes of MadeinTYO, although brief, serves as a welcome contrast to the pop-raps of KYLE. MadeinTYO plays the role of the tougher MC, even if he’s not really spitting the hardest, toughest rhymes. It’s contextual, of course.
Final Thoughts
All in all, KYLE delivers a hit with “All Mine.” There’s an element of seriousness, yet it’s mostly chill, cool, and fun. There are no glaring flaws.
