The legendary contemporary gospel music collaborated with God’s Property on the spirited classic, “Stomp (Remix)”. “Stomp (Remix)” appeared as the opening track from God’s Property from Kirk Franklin’s Nu Nation released in 1997.  This sleek, R&B-infused record samples the Funkadelic classic, “One Nation Under Groove”.  Beyond exuberant music, the message sells “Stomp (Remix).” Paying ode to Jesus’ love, God’s Property asserts in the centerpiece, the chorus, His love “Makes me clap my hands / Makes me wanna dance and stomp.”

Kirk Franklin doesn’t sing but rather ministers throughout, something he’s done consistently since the early days of his career. Also, Salt of Salt-N-Pepa raps a verse, asserting, “The Lord brought me this far,” and “Ain’t no shame in my game God’s Property / Kickin’ it wit Kirk ain’t no stoppin’ me / Uh stomp.” That prompts a sublime call and response between Kirk and God’s property: “G.P. are you with me / Oh yeah we having church we ain’t going nowhere.” “Stomp (Remix)” remains one of the best songs from the Kirk Franklin catalog.  It speaks to the power of Jesus’ love.
