Kingdumb, Basic + Eastern Peak | Track Review 🎵

ith his latest track, ‘Basic‘, Kingdumb showcases the incredible potential of the UK production scene. The presence of electronic energy, along with the underground hip-hop flavour of the tune, makes it tough to say no to listening to it.

Kingdumb is from Swindon, and the people who live there should be proud of the man who is on the up! He is not creating anything really new, but rather he is exploring a sound that is already out there, and the end product is something that is invigorating to the spirit. The song is honest about life and the limits that contemporary life places on people, but it also serves as a reminder that we should all live freely and just enjoy ourselves by doing what we love the most because, after all, this is our one and only life.

The song almost continues on into the b-side, which is an instrumental track called ‘Eastern Peak‘. This music is dripping with feel-good charisma and it lodges itself deep. The B-side of the record does not have any vocals, yet it nonetheless enhances the overall feeling we got from listening to the song ‘Basic‘. In addition to this, it brings us back down to earth after taking us on such a rollercoaster with the first.
