Jxckson, Time Waits for No One | Song Review 🎵

Fearless Austin, Texas pop artist Jxckson brings the heat on his dark, synth-pop single, “Time Waits for No One” produced by Boy Sim.

“I f I could take it all back / I wouldn’t / We only have one life / Why ruin it?” Word, Jxckson.  The fearless Austin, Texas pop artist never fails to impress with music.  “Time Waits for No One” continues a marvelous run of top-notch singles.  On this sub-three-minute joint, he taps producer Boy Sim who puts in some serious work behind the boards.  What makes the sound pop? It’s the keys, menacing synths, and some mean-sounding drums. Boy Sim plays a key role accompanying Jxckson – the music is sweet despite its dark nature.  Set in a minor key, the artist describes the song as ‘dark-synthpop saga featuring operatic background vocals,’ adding that it’s ‘a blend of 90s industrial and electronic with a big production style and heft about it.’ Noted, and I concur!  

The music shines, but we all know the star of the show is Jxckson.  Further describing this gem, he asserts:

‘I wrote “Time Waits for No One” as an exploration of my frequent (and sometimes contradictory) reflections on time, getting older, and the ticking clock that lives in all of us. It’s also about accepting that I wouldn’t change anything about my past.’

The sensational lyrics support this, particularly the centerpiece – the chorus: “Count the hours / Feel every second / Cause we could go at / Any minute / (Tick tick tick tick tick).” Vocally, Jxckson brings a mysteriousness – a cinematic, dark approach.  His tone remains top-notch – hella pleasing to the ears. Not only does he ‘sing,’ he also serves up his fair share of playful, un-pitched vocals that showcase his personality. Once again, on “Time Waits for No One”, Jxckson is the man!
