The handsome and talented Jung Kook, of BTS fame, makes an infectious, sexy solo debut with his single, “Seven” assisted by popular female rap sensation, Latto.
“Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (a week).” Hmm, sounds like 🎙 BTS’ 🎙 Jung Kook is giving us a kindergarten lessons on the days of the week on 🎵 “Seven”! Well, actually, there is nothing kindergarten-ish or childish about this debut single, particularly if you opt for the explicit version (and why the [bleep] wouldn’t you). Sure, the chorus begins with Jung Kook singing about seven days, but ultimately, it’s what he vows to do in those days: “Every hour every minute every second / You know night after night / I’ll be fuckin’ you right / Seven days a week.” Um, excuse me?! 🫢 🤫 😈. Further amplifying this naughty, summery smash is one of the more popular female rappers, 🎙 Latto, who fits right in on this fuckin’ single (catch what I did there).
The sexy “Seven” was penned by 🎼 ✍ Andrew Watt and Cirkut (who also produce), alongside Latto, Jon Bellion and Theron Makiel Thomas. The lyrics aren’t filled with depth, but they are enjoyable and most of all, sexy. “Weight of the world on your shoulders,” Jung Kook sings beautifully in the first verse, adding, “I kiss your waist and ease your mind.” That’s sweet and of course, S-E-X-Y. The second verse exhibits devotion too, while also being sensually charged. The naughtiness creeps in the pre-chorus, beginning with the suggestive line, “It’s the way that you can ride,” and concluding with “fuckin’ you right.” As for Latto, who appears in the third and final verse, she manages to be sexy without going to the same degree as her own music. “Seven days a week, seven different sheets / Seven different angles, I can be your fantasy,” she raps, adding, “Come here, baby, let me swallow your pride.” While we know what she’s really swallowing, what most contributes to the parental advisory sticker is an f-bomb, which is no worse than Jung Kook! All said and done, 🎵 “Seven” is a bop – a marvelous record to play throughout the summer well into the rest of the year and beyond.
