Julia Thomsen And Tre, Barcelona Summer | Track Review 🎵

ulia Thomsen is back at it, this time with an accomplice, warming the cockles with her exquisite compositions. On ‘Barcelona Summer,‘ Julia, known for solo classical gems, teams up with Tre, who resides in India, to give us some late summer warmth.

With each new release she delivers, Thomsen is soaring to new heights, and she is fresh off winning a global music award. She also demonstrates her ability to mix things with this new one; delving more into a soothing corner than a traditional classical shelf.

The piano arrangement that introduces ‘Barcelona Summer‘ lays neatly on top of a bird chirping sample. The birds sing freely, and the music has a similar tone, transporting us away from the rush and bustle of modern life to a world where there is nothing but peace. Tre also offers his creative prowess, and the compositions’ architecture comes out with distinction.

As it nears the midpoint, the pathway becomes more relaxed, and the cadence increases. A synth lead enters at this point, adding even more weight to the mix. It also gives off a unique aura, and just when you think you can’t be any more carefree, the duo drops even more subtle calming components that allow us to sink even deeper into relaxation.

Julia and Tre bring back the bird noises from the beginning of the track in the closing section, which nicely sums up the composition and leaves us ultimately detoxed.
