“And he looks so good / Walking through that door / Oh, I wish I could / Be the ending that he’s looking for.” 😍😍😍!!! Be prepared to #SLAY! LGBTQ Bopz 🌈🎶 embraces, highlights, and celebrates singles and tracks by LGBTQIA musicians or allies.  In this column, we provide background and insight into the respective musician(s), as well as analyze + go gaga over the decadent bops being served up.  Furthermore, when the music dictates deeper, more transcendent discussion, we ensure the point is articulated to the fullest.  All styles of music are welcome while the BOPZ can be classics or brand-spanking new. Well, JORDY covers the 2000 classic, 🎵 “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” by rock collective, 🎙 Nine Days.  In fact, according to MTV, he is the first person to be granted permission to cover the song!  Of course, the handsome and talented openly gay pop musician doesn’t play it straight – why should he! He, with the blessing of Nine Days frontman, 🎙 John Hampson,   transforms the “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” to fit who he is.  How effing cool is that?

pride heart burstHe doesn’t know my name / But I could give much more…” A relatively short number, “Story of a Boy” is another awesome addition to the ever expanding queer music catalog.  In his hands, the record is both reflective and longing. “Moved here from a small town / Fell in with the wrong crowd,” he sings in the first verse, adding, “I don’t blame him ‘cause most people suck / And leave you crushed.”  In the second, JORDY frets about Hollywood (which always gets a bad name, haha), and says of this guy, “And I watch him on the internet / Trying to be happy / He wouldn’t have to if he knew that he could have me.” Ooh-la-la! JORDY is the sugar honey iced tea in case you didn’t know.  He keeps it queer, and who would have it any other way? I find it incredibly cool he took a 00s hit and reintroduced it to a new generation from a gay perspective.  Mad props to this surefire LGBTQ Bop 🌈🎶!!!
