Jordan Fox, Bubble Gum [📷: Jordan Fox]New York LGBTQ pop artist Jordan Fox serves up a sugary-sweet, surefire bop with the relatable single, “Bubble Gum.”

“You could come and see me when you like / Just wanna feel your hand in mine / But you can’t find the time.” Uh-oh, 🎙 Jordan Fox – it sounds like a case of those pesky matters of the heart. Bubble gum is delicious, initially, but after it loses its flavor, it goes right in the trash 🗑️, or underneath someone’s shoe 👟 (I’ve been a victim many times 😏).  🎵 “Bubble Gum” is decadent and delightful from start to finish – a marvelous musical offering from Fox.  However, when it comes to his heart, it gets broken 💔, and he becomes just like bubble gum – cast aside by his perceived lover (“Tossed aside and losing hope”). The good news is his pain is the listener’s pleasure. Fox penned “Bubble Gum” alongside 🎼 ✍ Brooke Jenkins, Joseph Pepe, and Lea McNamara.

He sings the melodies, which are tuneful to the nth degree, sensationally, as well as the ad-libs, etc. In addition to a strong vocal, the vocal production is awesome too. The various effects further enhance the listening experience.  Of course, the production (Joseph Pepe) as a whole is vibe. Gotta love the urban-sounding drums, guitar, and keys – idiomatic of a modern pop record. Of course, the songwriting superbly conveys being cast aside, particularly the crème de la crème, the chorus:

“Bubble gum

spit me out, chew me up

Had your fun, on to the next one

Another flavor of the week or two

Stuck to the bottom of somebody’s shoe

…Fade quicker than the taste in your mouth

Just chew me up like a piece of bubble gum.”

Get it Jordan!
