Country musician Jordan Davis shares his dedication to that special somebody in his life in his single, “What My World Spins Around.”
“Ilove a first cast when the water’s glass and the line starts to run / Or that first sip of a cold beer when the working week’s done.” Yep, that’s country to the core. Of course, considering 🎙 Jordan Davis is a country musician, surely you expected surefire countrification on his single, 🎵 “What My World Spins Around”. Davis penned “What My World Spins Around” alongside 🎼✍ Matt Dragstrem and 🎼✍ Ryan Hurd. 🎛 Paul DiGiovanni handles the production work. Notably, during the chorus, the record grows more dynamic – gargantuan in scope.
The thing is, while Davis serves up those country clichés, his focus is on HER. At the end of the first verse, after sharing all things he loves, he asserts, “But girl, that don’t even come close.” Why? Well, that’s because shes, quote, “what my world spins around.” During the chorus, he highlights the things he loves about her – she’s the most important thing to him in the world. The sentiment is sweet – gotta love dedication! I’m not sure that I find the chorus to be the catchiest or necessarily the most memorable I’ve heard, but Davis gets his point across loud and clear.
Final Thoughts 💭
All in all, I find that Jordan Davis drops a respectable country record with 🎵 “What My World Spins Around”. It doesn’t change the face of country music, let alone the world, but Davis does a great job singing about the person he loves. There’s just something about the profession of love, no matter what genre of music it is, that hits different!
