Five words: “Break it off clean cut.” Yep, that’s about the size of the lyrics of “Clean Cut” by the hot 🥵 and talented Jonah Almost (Jonah Rollins).  Providing some variation, occasionally, “Yeah, just let me know / Don’t want this please just let me go” is added. The songwriting is minimalist and simple. Even so, the simplicity, repetition, and nonchalant vocals are part of the charm.  Where the meat of “Clean Cut” comes into play is the instrumental.

Four on the floor, baby! It’s not all four on the floor, as the groove features plenty of variation.  Even the way the beat is panned at times is part of the excellence.  Besides the beat, the synths are electric, easily channeling the (gay 🏳️‍🌈) club 🕺.  The rhythmic nature of the synths and a variety of lower/higher and harder/softer keeps “Clean Cut” hella engaging.  Also contributing to the engagement is a change of pace within the final minute. Jonah switches the instrumental palette up while maintaining a kick-ass beat. “Clean Cut” is the sugar honey iced tea.  Prepare to dance, dance, dance!
